Stacey Carosi

Stacey Carosi is introduced in the Malibu Sands Beach Club episodes, where everyone in the group, except for Lisa (who is a guest there), takes a summer job.

Personality

Stacey is rebellious. This is evidenced, in part, by the Rolling Stones tattoo on her breast and her placement on an Unwanted Persons list by Canada, which she was permanently banned from entering.

Stacey is also a chronic malingerer. Simply put by her father, "she has no work ethic". She conveniently claimed she had the Epstein–Barr virus to justify sleeping, as an escape from performing her duties at the Malibu Sands Beach Resort. Stacey also claimed she developed carpal tunnel syndrome while operating the steamed milk machine at a Seattle espresso bar, in order to claim disability benefits. Later, Stacey relied upon the latter excuse to avoid cooking Sunday dinner from scratch. Her complaint to Zack that the physical attack by the Russians, who had intimidated her into returning Melissa's wheelchair, had exacerbated the pains in her arm gave Zack sufficient ammunition to obtain Slater's blessing to retaliate against Stacey's attackers.

Season 3

Stacey is on summer break from attending school on the East Coast, and her father, Leon Carosi, is the owner of the club. Stacey is initially disgusted by Zack's West Coast lifestyle and refers to him sarcastically as "Dude", but they later develop romantic feelings for each other. They must hide their relationship from Leon, as Zack and Leon are at odds from the beginning of the summer. Their relationship ends when Stacey returns to New York for school. In the final summer episode, however, Leon learns about the romance, and still finds himself liking Zack.

Trivia

Actress Leah Remini wore a necklace made of human ears while filming each of her makeout scenes with Zack (Mark-Paul Gosselaar).
